Testing can be a bit difficult as there are two different connector pins and they serve different purposes however the best method of testing it is to measure the resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is fully operational, it should read around 1000 ohms. Examine for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are issues with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at full speed, i noticed a huge drop in power. It was like the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were soaked with gasoline and the fourth was unclean. When I crank the engine, there are no sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and audikey the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stays shut. I tested the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got zero ohm. I'm assuming the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it runs fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem still occurs at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not sure what to do. I think I've ruled everything else out. I'm worried that i might have missed something. Let me know if you have any ideas! TIA!
