World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade item using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon a reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a substantial risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. When the player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced with a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). Requirements
