WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item upgrading level. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Using these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another significant modification is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner.
