World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading

The upgrade of an item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. In some cases this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also alter the stats of the base. This is usually a good aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to improve their effectiveness. This will increase the defense of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain after upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the item upgrader mod menu. This will roll an item and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you can receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in cold environments with a lot of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with friends.

You can't upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss fight as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock perks for your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five different types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust the potions.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were a few changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For instance splash potions now have a duration of 0:08 (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item). The table for potion is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It may be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a function but isn't particularly significant, such as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying a new one. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the old one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

When the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are a popular alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other pieces of gear that they won't replace in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still less expensive than buying the new one.
