World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item upgrades allows players to increase the gear score of an item upgrader mod to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. This bonus may be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. While this is usually beneficial however, it could have negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their stats. For example, if you upgrade item chests or helms, it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with their respective values. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the menu for items. This will reroll the item upgrader mod and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them each of which requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. You'll require anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a large group of enemies in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a few friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by making them using a craft table or in an Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.

Once a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you use it again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. Splash potions, for instance have now a duration of zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item. The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly important such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing stats.

Trinkets can be upgraded once the old ones are not needed which allows a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value, and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
