WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
