WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones.
