Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the robot vacuum with mop has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you view all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship best rated robot vacuum mop and vacuum, is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It is able to change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mowing capabilities. Its innovative design lets you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 best rated robot vacuum vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a great option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect the moment when the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market however, it comes with numerous additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature of its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There's a wealth of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list but it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
