Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

Its only issue is that it tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-filling.

The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model which is unfortunate considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is easy to use and understand The X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available, but it packs in numerous additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
