This refrigerator is packed with features, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Given that this fridge costs a premium, I expect higher quality.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the small blip. It has a large freezer compartment which is uncommon for counter-depth French door fridges. It also holds plenty of frozen food, which is a big difference from other models.

The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a French-door refrigerator at this price. It has a decent-sized freezer in the left side. But it's not the most spacious one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments for the perfect storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice addition and the storage bins feature the third shelf, which can fold down to allow you to store tall items. The drawers have temperature controls, so you can set them to Beverage, Meat or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to manage your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also comes with a lot of customization options. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked, when the freezer or fridge must be defrosted and when the filter requires a change.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a handful of other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at a time. It also has a countdown on the display of the fridge to display how much water you have left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth french door american style fridge freezer Door Refrigerator

Created to appear as a seamless element of your kitchen Bosch's french door fridge with plumbed ice and water-door refrigerator looks seamless and is one of a kind. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer and has dual compressors for maximum preservation of food. The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water usage. This fridge is ideal for a single family or kitchenette that needs an attractive design and top of the best food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed by more than a fraction, this is crucial to avoid freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and maintaining the temperature constant over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and control your refrigerator remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is pricey however, it offers excellent features and functionality at a reasonable price.

While the fridge is an amazing piece of equipment but it's important to be aware of the limitations. It has a small shelf space, which means you may have to think creatively when storing tall objects. The shelves aren't spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. It's easy to remove the refrigerator trays, but be sure to keep them clean to avoid the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth refrigerator what is the largest counter depth French door refrigerator a great choice for those who need plenty of space in a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the refrigerator has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins on each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded down to make space for tall items. There's also a full-width storage drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that help to organize the place of items. It also has a large bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items and an additional storage bin for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you control the fridge's temperature as well as lighting from your smartphone. It's a good method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't enhance the efficiency of the fridge. The fridge took a bit longer to chill food and defrost it than other models we test. This is likely due to the bigger capacity.

Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been much better if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth french door fridge and freezer Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French door refrigerator that won't break the bank this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a simple fridge that might not be as attractive as some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make a suitable choice. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. This drawer lets you redirect some of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, meaning you can put away food items that need extra attention. You can adjust the feature using a slider that's located right in the middle of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling level for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to be more effective than specific ones.

In my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary very far from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a pretty good performance, but it doesn't quite rank among the best in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of grey-bodied stainless steel with a "smudge-proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
