If you're on a budget and don't require a stroller that doubles as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that move from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This might not be suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame of the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also comes with a multi-position reclined seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers of a similar price we tried, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. All of the components required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we think it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate babies from birth to around 3.5 years, converting easily between a carrycot and seat by just a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and reversible carriage.

It's really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, although it seemed slightly bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we've tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children, a shopping bag and other items.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be removed to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods that are bounced back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does have a big basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

This best single stroller 2024 pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and comes with excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also very light and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into various positions. It also has a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies from birth.

It folds up compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble without tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
