WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with the help of button, which will display an image of the item at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current item level upgrade level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example.
