Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is a return to a classic sextet structure and an even more consistent and powerful album with a sharper edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the growth of the band. Bobby Kimball's growing ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard playing was as well more refined, more precise and less akin to previous efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the group recorded an Amsterdam live show which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between.
