WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item level upgrade item (visit maps.google.no here >>) by +3. Each upgrade items also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an image of the item upgrading at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade items discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via several methods which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

Crests

They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that crests are only available for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to use them properly. It's best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
