World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

item upgrader mod upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a group. This bonus could be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance an item upgrade with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them could make them unusable unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.

The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their performance. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms, it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving 3% of attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item upgrader kit menu with the arrows that circle. This will reroll an item upgrades and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you can get out of each point of health you have and it's crucial to improve your armor as much as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also unlock some advantages to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets to let you escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed give the player the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions, each having a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by making them using a craft table or in an Alchemist's chest. However, the cost of upgrading is dependent on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they will produce when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.

There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The table of potion now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. This is the same for the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose, but isn't particularly significant like a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket can be used to show affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl of the old one, and will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

When the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade, players should consider the preferred statistics of their class. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.

After they've become unusable, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
