World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't change much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In certain instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing, it can have some negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their stats. This will increase the defense of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the circling arrows. This will roll an item and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor so that you can get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item upgrader mod. The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.

Trinkets

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing statistics.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. One can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the previous trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade players should also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

After they've become unusable trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to cause the trinket to be destroyed in the event that it is not salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying a new one.
