World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the Best item upgrader's current level. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them. The Best item upgrader must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to Upgrade item non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could increase in price even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item upgrader will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is highly important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrades upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item upgrades to go to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than standard gear. For instance they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses listed above.
