WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item upgrades by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item upgrader kit used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item upgrade, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item level upgrade (www.Diggerslist.com) upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to benefit from the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
