This is the model you should choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best rated robot vacuum navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects like books and broken toys.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.

Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine how quickly the device can move through your home. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or completing its task.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the need to swap out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also has a number of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning job, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
