Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mop are getting more efficient. They pass our cleaning tests, and are able to handle different floors. Look for models that let you choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to automatically empty, and clean up stairs.

A lot of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of floors and rooms.

When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its best robotic mop and vacuum moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it came to carpets or rug.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though it will differ based on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them becoming clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning needs. The robot vacuums with mop vacuum has 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a number innovative features including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

The robot comes with an easy-to-use interface that guides you throughout the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or filled. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station whenever required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship model of robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush will ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically swings out in order to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors and leaves a wide margin around obstacles. This could lead to missed spots.

Its app has a streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy to use for both new and experienced users. Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 has the best robot vacuum cleaner and mop mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot at this price. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.

The mops also stand out with its 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't have any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to pick up cables or kitty litter that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't.
