WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the Best item upgrader used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the item being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display the item level Upgrade's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade item discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. They come in four ranks.

These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
