WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item level upgrade (Keep Reading) used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that are used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased by players from item upgrading upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves.
