Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The best way to upgrade items your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you upgrade your gear without having depend on costly drops or trades. This article will teach you how to upgrade your gear effectively.

Upgrades to equipment give a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that improve your armor and weapons better. You can find them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in items-spheres. You can also salvage them from equipment that contains the components or by using high-end salvage kits like Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked in order to boost the level or experience gained by upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be forged to give extra bonuses.
